The Sub Wardens

• There are four Sub-Wardens living in Falk-Egg to provide an official University presence.
• Office hours are 8.30am -6pm during which the Hall is looked after by the Supervisors and their team of staff.
• During the out of office hours the Sub-Wardens are responsible for Falk-Egg. The University employs all the Sub-Wardens in some other capacity (usually research), but every evening and at weekends one of the Sub-Wardens will be on duty.
• We are here to helpyou. If you have a problem during the day the Hall Supervisor, will be happy to help. Otherwise feel free to talk to the duty Sub-Warden any time during the evening. The Sub-Wardens helpmaintain a sensible balance within the Hall. Their duties include:

Pastoral: The Sub-Wardens are your first contact if you have any problems in Hall, with your Block, or welfare. They have all been students and have experienced and understand most of the problems that can occur so they are able to offer advice and assistance if you are worried about anything. Loughborough University also offer a confidential and free Counselling Service.

General: The Sub-Wardens also helpin the day-to-day running of the Hall. In the evenings, if you have a problem with your gas, heating, shower or you simply need a new light bulb come and see the duty Sub-Warden. They will do their best to help and at the very least ensure any faults are swiftly reported and repaired.

Discipline: We expect students to have a good time and enjoy a full social life, but we must also ensure no-one goes too far. Falk-Egg is a mixed community, so it is only fair that noise and other disturbances be kept to an acceptable level. Any students overstepping the mark will firstly be seen by a Sub-Warden, but if the incident is more serious, the Warden may become involved. The Sub-Wardens are representatives of the University and as such carry the University's authority.

If you have any questions /comments on the Sub-Warden service in Falk-Egg then please let us, or the Warden know.
